Accessories Fall 2018 Report

Accessories Fall 2018 Report

Its August  in LA and although the heat is still raging and shows no signs of cooling down anytime soon, the fashion mags are hard at work gearing up for the biggest fashion season of all, Fall. What peaks my attention first and foremost? Accessories. My eye goes directly to boots, handbags, and jewels. The boots I’m seeing all over the place right now? Suede 70s style platform boots, either with an almond or round toe the style is relaxed and easy.

I’m especially excited for all of the western inspired style I’m seeing this season, from boots with a cowboy feel from Fendi, Paco Rabanne, and Derek Lam, the western influence can be seen everywhere and I’m excited to dust off my Old Gringos and get to strutting in style this fall. Throw on a long peasant skirt and western style belt and your ready for a fun weekend in the desert or even downtown,, the juxtaposition of western in the city is irony done right. Don’t forget to throw a classic Dior Saddle Bag over your shoulder to bring the entire look together.

Handbags are taking on the autumnal season with new shapes and, textures and colors. Fringe is still happening, but rather on a smaller scale and more inconspicuous than in season’s past. The two biggest trends I’m seeing are big oversized rectangular totes and anything python embossed whether it’s a shocking pop of canary yellow or your basic black, embossed leather is everywhere.

Of course it wouldn’t be fall without russets, mustard yellows, and dusty dark blues to keep us yearning for the changing of the leaves and colder temps. Throw in few python patterns and a pop of color and you will have your Fall wardrobe updated and ready to take in the season in style. What are you looking forward to wearing this Autumn?
